On the Road

After dropping off the rental car the Manchester International Airport we headed straight for the nearest beach, in Hampton. We dipped our feet in the Atlantic Ocean snapped a couple of photos; picked up a New England lobster roll; then began our journey back home to California.

NH, MA, CT, NY and PA from 4 pm-12 am. The car drives like a quiet tank even if it needs shocks. I drove first and we switched driving after @500 miles (20 gal. tank). At the second diesel fill-up, it passed the first test of holding fluids and getting 32 mpg. Trial by cross-country road test. The driving daze begins and will continue for the next few days.

Irv Al: I thought it rather ironic that they are picking up a Benz in Manchester NH, intent on driving it back and converting it to Bio-fuel. In 1987, I bought my last airplane and picked it up in Manchester NH. Chris & I flew it back (took us 3 days.....winds were so bad that trucks in the hi-ways were passing us ). When we got home we converted it from av-gas to car-gas. Rather a remarkable " co-inky-dink." Sounds like the're having a blast. See you this weekend. Larry
